A new neighborhood dining option is arriving in Rancho Mission Viejo. Creekside, a restaurant from the experienced team behind several popular Orange County establishments, is expected to open at Sendero Marketplace this October.
Creekside will serve approachable American comfort food and is expected to open daily at 4 p.m., positioning it as a new destination for dinner, drinks and relaxed evenings close to home.
The restaurant comes from RJB Restaurant Group, led by restaurateur Russ Bendel Jr. and his partners. The group's Orange County portfolio includes Vine and Parlor Pizzeria in San Clemente, Bloom in San Juan Capistrano, Ironwood in Laguna Hills, Olea in Newport Beach and Sapphire in Laguna Beach.
Executive Chef Jared Cook, who was recognized as the Orange County Business Journal's 2024 Chef of the Year, is also part of the team behind the new concept.
The Creekside name was inspired by San Juan Creek, which runs behind the restaurant. Its location at Sendero Marketplace should make it an especially convenient addition for residents of Rancho Mission Viejo and neighboring Ladera Ranch.
An exact opening date and the full menu have not yet been announced, so diners should watch for updates as Creekside prepares to welcome its first guests.
